LATEST NEWS

We invite you to celebrate A White Christmas with EMF regulars The New Foxtrot Serenaders on 14 December at St Lawrence’s Church, Chobham. Full details of this event may be found on this page; and tickets can be purchased through our Events Box Office.

We are tremendously excited to be bringing the EMF to South Africa in a long weekend of events based in and around St George’s Anglican Church, Parktown, in Johannesburg. This wonderful city offers many excellent venues and performers, as well as a great interest in music. The forthcoming Festival – which will see British artists collaborating with local Johannesburg musicians – will, we believe, be rewarding and culturally enriching both for the EMF and for music-lovers in the area. The Festival will take place between 14 and 16 February 2020.

The programme for the South African EMF is now published on this page. Booking – through our online Box Office – will open on 11 December.

Thank you to all who contributed to the 2019 Autumn Festival: to those at St Andrew’s Church, Aysgarth, for their warm hospitality and invaluable help; to the artists, for their superb performances of some wonderful music; to the volunteers who staffed the Box Office, undertook Front-of-House duties, and served refreshments; and, of course, to the audience members for supporting the event, some of whom travelled a considerable distance to be with us. We are currently considering possibilities for the 2020 Festival, which, perhaps, will take place slightly earlier, at the end of August. Please visit this page soon for more details!

Thank you to all who made the 2019 Oxfordshire EMF such a success! We are looking forward to the 2020 Festival and already have a range of exciting concerts planned. The full programme will be available on 1 January 2020, with tickets going on sale in early March.

If you would like more details about our Friends’ Scheme, please follow this link to our newly reinstated ‘Friends’ Scheme’ page for a description of the tiers and their benefits, together with information about how to join.

Our recording arm, EM Records, has released a number of exciting new recordings, including a triple-disc set of Parry’s complete works for violin and piano and a disc of searingly beautiful choral works by Paul Carr and others. Please visit the EM Records website for full details of these and others!
