PROGRAMME

Booking has now opened for our Christmas Concerts. This year these will be held in the historically fascinating church of St Andrew’s in the delightful town of Corbridge with its rich Roman remains and plethora of charming restaurants, tea-shops, pubs, hotels and artisan shops. The concerts open on the evening of Friday 10 December 2021 with the celebrated local folk musicians Alistair Anderson and Sophy Ball, and continues the following afternoon with a recital of solo-violin music by J. S. Bach. The final concert takes place on Saturday evening with highly-acclaimed local choir Antiphon, who will perform a glorious selection of seasonal music by composers from Byrd to Britten, including carols for audience participation.

The full programme is given below. Booking is now open to all — the online Box Office may be found on this page.

LATEST NEWS

A very warm “thank you” to all who made the 2021 Autumn Festival such a success: to St Mary’s Church and the Drill Hall in Horsham for welcoming us again; to the artists, for their stimulating and engaging performances; to all the volunteers, without whose help running the Festival “on the ground” would simply not be possible; and, of course, to our audiences, whose enthusiasm and support continue to mean so much to us.

Booking has now opened for our Christmas Concerts. This year these will be held in the historically fascinating church of St Andrew’s in the delightful Northumbrian town of Corbridge with its rich Roman remains and plethora of charming restaurants, tea-shops, pubs, hotels and artisan shops. The full programme is posted on this page; and tickets may be booked through our online Box Office.

With the artists’ permission, some of the events at the 2021 May Festival were filmed; and these are now ready for viewing on this website. We are making a modest charge for access — this is to cover the costs of production and also to enable us to pay a royalty to the performers. The film programmes are available on this page; and tickets can be purchased from our online Box Office.
