Thank you so much to all who contributed to the 2020 Online English Music Festival: to the artists and speakers who provided such wonderful concerts and talks; and to the audience members who purchased tickets for the online performances, thus helping to support the Festival and the musicians during this period of difficulty and uncertainty. Your support is most warmly appreciated.

We are looking forward to being back in Oxfordshire in May 2021 and hope very much to see you there. In the meantime, please do continue to visit our website for news of our activities.

Thank you to all who made the Autumn Festival in Horsham such a success: to the artists, for their wonderfully committed, moving and enjoyable performances; to all those volunteers who helped before and during the Festival; and, of course, to all those at St Mary’s Church for their generosity in opening their beautiful building to us and thereby providing the EMF with such a marvellous venue in which to hold our first live concerts since March.

All the Autumn EMF concerts were filmed and will be available to view on this website shortly. We will be making a modest charge for access – this is to cover the costs of production and also to enable us to pay a royalty to the performers, thereby helping to increase their income during what remains a very difficult time for music and musicians. More details will be available soon.

COVID-19-related restrictions permitting, we are hoping to be able to hold a pre-Christmas Festival and are considering how best this might be accomplished. Please do visit the EMF website regularly for updates on this and other events.

Our recording arm, EM Records, has released a number of exciting new recordings, including a triple-disc set of Parry’s complete works for violin and piano and a disc of searingly beautiful choral works by Paul Carr and others. Please visit the EM Records website for full details of these and others!
